Sign Your WatTSFA Union Card

How to Sign your WatTSFA Union Card

  1. Click on the link on the left or below to access your digital union card.

  2. Fill out your card: Complete all the requested information. Please use your personal email (non-UWaterloo email). We will not use your UWaterloo email to contact you about your union membership. All your information remains confidential. Once completed, draw your signature, and click “Apply”. Then enter the date and select “Click to Sign”.

  3. Confirm your identity: Last step! Check your personal email’s inbox for a message from “Adobe Sign” and click “Confirm my email address”. This final step is very important and your WatTSFA union card isn’t valid until this last step is completed. After confirming your identity, a WatTSFA representative will receive a copy of your card to co-sign. Once both parties have signed, a fully completed and encrypted card will be sent to both you and the union (this may take a day or two – but your card is signed once your identity has been verified).

Important:

  • Non-UW email is strongly recommended, as we've had reports of card emails sometimes being filtered out by UW's email system – we want to make sure your card is properly finalized and recognized by the OLRB! Plus, there's the added bonus of protecting your privacy, because email accounts provided by UW/the employer are their legal property, subject to their Terms of Use, and not fully confidential.

  • Please provide as much information as possible. This is vital because the official card will be used by the OLRB to verify the identity and eligibility of everyone who signs, and thereby to protect the integrity of the unionization process. The list of who signed a card is confidential and protected by law; it will never be disclosed at any point to the employer (UW).
