Two fairly minor points of clarification, and a comment:


0:43 - FRC determined that a ratification vote on this particular P76/77 issue was not possible as it was not part of the agreed-upon "path forward." The statement that FRC determined that "we cannot run a ratification vote on any mediated agreement" might leave some with the impression this is true of ALL issues discussed/mediated/arbitrated through FRC, which isn't what was determined.

2:25 - it was not the PDC that overruled the suggestion of a ratification vote, it was FRC; they aren't the same committee or individuals


I think whether the language of "ratification vote" was appropriate or not, what was clear from the nov 7 LC town hall presentation is…

The Lecturers Committee made it clear in today's town hall that this was meant to be a ratification vote solely for lecturers. Now that this is clarified for all, will the false narrative being reported in this "helpful" video be removed, or do you still stand behind this?

Now, if FRC said a ratification vote wasn't possible on a mediated agreement, then the lecturers committee can't say something was "meant to be" a ratification vote. It either is or is not. In the FAUW town hall, it was even pointed out that a ratification vote was not a formal agreement in the "Path Forward" (which I take to mean there is no reason why it would happen nor any reason why it would be binding). It was also mentioned in the town hall that what "kind of amounts to" a ratification vote would have to be voted on by the "membership at large," which is one of…
